Great price · $10,000–12,000 I just had new gutters and fascia placed on my house and a new roof from the decking up placed on my stand alone garage. My gutters were old, too small and leaky. My garage roof was leaking heavily and large ares of the roof were rotted. The guys with The Way went above and beyond to schedule visits for estimates, etc around my unpredictable work schedule. They were informative and answered all of my questions up front. I never felt like I was talking to sales people, I was never pressured, they never tried to oversell things I didn’t need. They were down to earth, patient and fair. When the time came to do the work I was in the middle of changing jobs and my life and schedule was chaos. Quentin and Kyle went above and beyond to get the work done during the hours that worked for me during this time. One big concern I had was my dog being here and being afraid or getting hurt. Kyle even came once after dark to roll my yard to make sure all debris was collected so that my dog did not get anything that might be a danger to her. It sounds crazy to say my new gutters were simply stunning but I was shocked at how much better they made my house look. I was incredibly impressed. The week after the work was done we had days of strong and heavy rains. My yard was flooded. To my delight...all of the spots in my basement that had leaked before the new gutters were now bone dry. I was finally able to park without worry in my garage. Also my enclosed sun porch no longer took on even a drop of rain water in the corners that leaked prior to the new gutters. I can’t speak highly enough about the craftsmanship and the unbeatable customer service. They also offer some excellent financing options if needed. I highly recommend The Way and will 100% use them again.

Reasonable price · $14,000–16,000 It’s extremely hard to find a roofing/construction company that is trustworthy these days, we all know this. When we called around for a roofing quote from 4 different companies four years ago, one never returned our call, one never showed up for the appointment, two did show up. One of those was Austin Rogers with The Way Construction. We were very impressed with how professional Austin was and how he did not speak to us like he was trying to sell us something. He spoke to us like he was really trying to get us all the information we needed to make the best decision that worked for us. He never once came off pushy. He told us about the different roofing materials and colors and their in house financing options and that is the route we went. Many companies will tell you their work comes with a warranty, and many companies will be very hard to get ahold of or pay attention to you went it comes to needing a warranty honored. Not The Way, I had two occasions over that last 4 years where I have needed a small repair due to weather causing limbs to fall. Both times Austin got right back to me and scheduled a time to come out within a very reasonable time frame. He made the repairs and sent me photos of his work all completely free and covered by the warranty with nothing out of my pocket. I had a make shift tarp, boards and bricks up there to cover a small hole until he could make it out the very next week and I just expected him to throw them to the ground (which would have been fine) but Austin went the extra mile and stacked all the materials neatly behind our shed. 100% something he was not obligated to do. I can not recommend The Way construction enough. 200% would hire again without hesitation. Once you find a company you can trust and proves it, you will never use another company. Austin Rogers and The Way Construction is that company. We did a new roof and all new gutters and downspouts by the way.

I cannot say enough good things about this company! From start to finish—the time they devoted (HUGE shout out to Thomas-so professional, friendly, and goes the extra mile!) expertise, effort, communication and professionalism was seriously remarkable. Jonathan was also amazing—sending me several photos and updates of the progress of my roof throughout the day. I have been putting the word out about how The Way Construction operates, because proficient work and excellent customer service is actually hard to come by these days! It was so refreshing! 💗 The entire interaction was great. Choose this company! You will not be disappointed!

Evansville Homeowner's Guide to Roof Repair

6 Signs Your Roof Needs Professional Repair

High winds in Southern Indiana can easily peel back shingle tabs or blow them off entirely. If you see gaps in your roof’s "armor" or notice shingles sitting at an odd angle, your roof is vulnerable to immediate water penetration and needs to be resealed or replaced.

Check your downspouts and gutters for what looks like coarse black sand. These granules protect your shingles from UV rays; once they slough off, the asphalt underneath becomes brittle and cracks quickly under the intense Ohio Valley sun.

The rubber seals around your plumbing vents are often the first part of the roof to fail. The extreme temperature swings in Indiana cause this rubber to dry rot and crack, which is the leading cause of "mystery leaks" appearing in kitchen or bathroom ceilings.

If you notice brown spots on your ceiling or bubbling paint near the tops of your walls, you already have an active leak. Even a small stain indicates that water has bypassed your shingles, underlayment, and decking, requiring a professional inspection to find the entry point.

If you can see sunlight peeking through the roof boards while standing in your attic, water can definitely get in. This often indicates a problem with the flashing or a significant gap in the decking that needs to be secured to prevent rot and mold growth in our humid climate.

When water isn't shedding properly, it often backs up behind the gutters. If you see your gutters pulling away from the house or notice dark, soft spots on the wooden boards (fascia) behind them, it’s a sign that the edge of your roof is failing to redirect water correctly.

ROOF REPAIR DONE RIGHT

Our 5 Step Process

1. Targeted Leak & Damage Assessment

We don’t just look at the shingles; we find the entry point. Whether you’ve noticed a ceiling stain after a heavy Ohio Valley downpour or see missing shingles from a recent wind event, we perform a ground-to-peak scan to identify the exact source of your roof’s vulnerability.

2. Component-Level Integrity Check

In Southern Indiana, our humidity causes specific parts to fail before the shingles do. We perform a deep-dive audit on your pipe boots, chimney flashing, and valley transitions—the "high-traffic" water areas that are the most common causes of leaks in the 812 area.

3. Precision Repair & Material Matching

A repair shouldn't look like a patch. We source materials that match your existing roof's profile and color to maintain your home’s curb appeal. From securing wind-lifted tabs to replacing dry-rotted seals, we use installation techniques specifically designed to withstand the Tri-State's extreme temperature swings.

4. Secondary Protection & Sealant Reinforcement

We go beyond the immediate fix by reinforcing surrounding areas. We apply high-grade, UV-resistant sealants and check the surrounding underlayment to ensure that the repair area is actually stronger than it was before the damage occurred.

5. Final Quality Walkthrough & Documentation

Before we leave your property in Vanderburgh or Warrick County, we perform a final stress test on the repair. We provide you with digital photos of the finished work and a maintenance summary, giving you the documentation needed for your records or potential insurance claims.

ROOF REPAIR FAQS

When It Comes to Roof Repair,
We Have the Answers.

  • How much does a typical roof repair cost in Evansville?

Most minor roof repairs in the 812 area range from $350 to $900. The final price depends on whether we are fixing a simple pipe boot leak, replacing a few wind-blown shingles, or repairing complex chimney flashing. At The Way Construction, we provide free, transparent quotes so you know the exact cost before work begins.

  • Can you match the shingles on my existing roof?

Yes. We make every effort to source shingles that match the color and profile of your current roof. However, if your shingles are discontinued or have significant UV fading from the Indiana sun, we will provide the closest possible match to maintain your home’s curb appeal while ensuring a water-tight seal.

  • Is it better to repair my roof or replace it entirely?

This depends on the age of your roof and the extent of the damage. If your roof is less than 15 years old and the damage is localized to one area, a repair is usually the most cost-effective choice. If we find widespread granule loss or structural rot during our inspection, we will honestly discuss whether a replacement is a better long-term investment for your Evansville home.

  • Does homeowners insurance cover roof repairs?

In many cases, yes—provided the damage was caused by a "sudden peril" like high winds, hail, or a fallen limb during an Ohio Valley storm. Insurance typically does not cover repairs for general wear and tear or neglect. We can help you document the damage with photos to assist with your claim.

  • How quickly can you fix a roof leak?

We prioritize active leaks to prevent interior water damage to your ceilings and drywall. In most cases, we can have a technician out for an inspection within 24 to 48 hours. If the weather is still severe, we can provide emergency tarping services to dry-in your home until a permanent repair can be made.

  • Why do roof leaks happen so often in the Ohio River Valley?

The Evansville climate is tough on roofing materials. Our extreme humidity and 100-degree summer days cause rubber components, like pipe boots and sealants, to dry rot and crack much faster than in other regions. Regular maintenance and quick repairs to these small components can prevent major structural issues down the road.
