Great price · $10,000–12,000 I just had new gutters and fascia placed on my house and a new roof from the decking up placed on my stand alone garage. My gutters were old, too small and leaky. My garage roof was leaking heavily and large ares of the roof were rotted. The guys with The Way went above and beyond to schedule visits for estimates, etc around my unpredictable work schedule. They were informative and answered all of my questions up front. I never felt like I was talking to sales people, I was never pressured, they never tried to oversell things I didn’t need. They were down to earth, patient and fair. When the time came to do the work I was in the middle of changing jobs and my life and schedule was chaos. Quentin and Kyle went above and beyond to get the work done during the hours that worked for me during this time. One big concern I had was my dog being here and being afraid or getting hurt. Kyle even came once after dark to roll my yard to make sure all debris was collected so that my dog did not get anything that might be a danger to her. It sounds crazy to say my new gutters were simply stunning but I was shocked at how much better they made my house look. I was incredibly impressed. The week after the work was done we had days of strong and heavy rains. My yard was flooded. To my delight...all of the spots in my basement that had leaked before the new gutters were now bone dry. I was finally able to park without worry in my garage. Also my enclosed sun porch no longer took on even a drop of rain water in the corners that leaked prior to the new gutters. I can’t speak highly enough about the craftsmanship and the unbeatable customer service. They also offer some excellent financing options if needed. I highly recommend The Way and will 100% use them again.

Reasonable price · $14,000–16,000 It’s extremely hard to find a roofing/construction company that is trustworthy these days, we all know this. When we called around for a roofing quote from 4 different companies four years ago, one never returned our call, one never showed up for the appointment, two did show up. One of those was Austin Rogers with The Way Construction. We were very impressed with how professional Austin was and how he did not speak to us like he was trying to sell us something. He spoke to us like he was really trying to get us all the information we needed to make the best decision that worked for us. He never once came off pushy. He told us about the different roofing materials and colors and their in house financing options and that is the route we went. Many companies will tell you their work comes with a warranty, and many companies will be very hard to get ahold of or pay attention to you went it comes to needing a warranty honored. Not The Way, I had two occasions over that last 4 years where I have needed a small repair due to weather causing limbs to fall. Both times Austin got right back to me and scheduled a time to come out within a very reasonable time frame. He made the repairs and sent me photos of his work all completely free and covered by the warranty with nothing out of my pocket. I had a make shift tarp, boards and bricks up there to cover a small hole until he could make it out the very next week and I just expected him to throw them to the ground (which would have been fine) but Austin went the extra mile and stacked all the materials neatly behind our shed. 100% something he was not obligated to do. I can not recommend The Way construction enough. 200% would hire again without hesitation. Once you find a company you can trust and proves it, you will never use another company. Austin Rogers and The Way Construction is that company. We did a new roof and all new gutters and downspouts by the way.

Had a great experience with The Way Construction! Thomas was the consultant on my roofing project. He was personable and easy to work with. Made sure all my questions were answered and was patient and not pushy. I appreciated that. The crew was quick and completed a full roof replacement by the end of the day and cleaned up everything. Communication was great from crew leaders as well.

I cannot say enough good things about this company! From start to finish—the time they devoted (HUGE shout out to Thomas-so professional, friendly, and goes the extra mile!) expertise, effort, communication and professionalism was seriously remarkable. Jonathan was also amazing—sending me several photos and updates of the progress of my roof throughout the day. I have been putting the word out about how The Way Construction operates, because proficient work and excellent customer service is actually hard to come by these days! It was so refreshing! 💗 The entire interaction was great. Choose this company! You will not be disappointed!

HOMEOWNER'S GUIDE TO ROOF INSPECTIONS

What You Can Expect For Your Roof Inspection

We start by surveying your entire property. Using advanced tech and physical ladder access, we scan for wind-lifted shingles and hail impact "bruising" that is common after Evansville storm cells. We ensure every square inch of your roof is documented.

In the Ohio River Valley, heavy rain is our biggest enemy. We perform a deep dive into your roof's "high-traffic" water areas—valleys, chimneys, and dormers. We check for rusted metal or failing sealants that could lead to leaks during the next Vanderburgh County downpour.

Evansville summers are brutal. We head into your attic space to check for proper airflow. We look for signs of "baking"—where poor ventilation causes shingles to brittle prematurely—and ensure your intake and exhaust vents are keeping your cooling costs down.

The number one cause of "mystery leaks" in the 812 area is a cracked rubber pipe boot. We inspect every roof penetration, checking the seals around plumbing vents and fans to ensure they haven't been dry-rotted by the Indiana sun.

A roof is only as good as its exit strategy. We inspect your gutter pitch and downspouts to ensure water is being diverted away from your home’s foundation. We check for "granule sludge," which tells us exactly how much life your shingles have left.

We don't just tell you there’s a problem; we show you. You’ll receive a digital photo report of our findings. If we find storm damage, we’ll walk you through the insurance claim process, acting as your local advocate to ensure your Evansville home gets the coverage it deserves.

ROOFING INSTALLATION MADE SIMPLE

Our 5 Step Process

1. Initial Assessment & Perimeter Scan

We begin with a detailed walkthrough of your property to identify immediate red flags. This includes checking for shingle granules in the gutters, examining the ground for storm debris, and performing a perimeter scan to evaluate the overall condition of your siding and trim as they relate to your roof’s edge.

2. Comprehensive Surface Evaluation

Our experts perform a close-up inspection of the roof surface. We look for the "silent killers" of a roofing system: hail bruising, wind-lifted shingles, and thermal cracking. This step ensures we catch minor damage before it turns into a major interior leak.

3. Critical Component & Flashing Audit

We focus on the most vulnerable parts of your roof, including valleys, chimneys, and skylights. We inspect the metal flashing and plumbing pipe boots to ensure they haven't been compromised by Evansville’s humidity or seasonal temperature swings.

4. Ventilation & Structural Health Check

A roof needs to breathe to last. We evaluate your attic's ventilation system to ensure heat isn't being trapped, which can bake shingles from the inside out. We also check the structural integrity of the decking to ensure there is no hidden wood rot or sagging.

5. Roof Health Report & Consultation

We wrap up the process by providing you with a full digital photo report of our findings. We sit down with you to explain the current health of your roof and, if damage is found, we walk you through your options for repair, replacement, or insurance assistance.

Roof INSPECTION FAQs

What Evansville Homeowners
Need to Know

  • How much does a roof inspection cost in Evansville?

At The Way Construction, we provide free, no-obligation roof inspections for local homeowners. Whether you suspect storm damage or just want a professional health check, we believe you should have the facts about your home’s condition without an upfront fee.

  • Do I need to be home for the inspection?

While you don't strictly have to be home for the exterior portion, we highly recommend it. Being present allows our team to discuss findings with you in real-time, show you photos of specific issues, and briefly check your attic for signs of leaks or ventilation problems that aren't visible from the outside.

  • How often should I have my roof inspected?

Given the frequent wind and hail storms in the Ohio Valley, we recommend a professional inspection once a year or after any major weather event. Regular checks help identify minor issues like cracked pipe boots or loose shingles before they lead to expensive interior water damage.

  • Will a roof inspection affect my insurance premiums?

Simply having a contractor inspect your roof does not affect your insurance. An inspection is a maintenance step that provides you with a professional assessment. If we find significant storm damage, you can then decide whether filing a claim is the right financial move for your situation.

  • How long does the inspection take?

A thorough professional inspection typically takes between 30 and 45 minutes. This allows us enough time to safely access the roof, document shingle condition, check all flashing points, and evaluate your gutter system and attic ventilation.

  • What happens after the inspection is finished?

Once the inspection is complete, we provide you with a digital health report. This includes photos of any problem areas and a clear explanation of our findings. If your roof is in good shape, we’ll tell you. If repairs are needed, we provide a detailed, transparent quote to fix the issues.

  • Why should I hire a local Evansville roofing contractor?

Hiring The Way Construction ensures you are working with experts who understand the Southern Indiana climate—from humid summers to heavy spring storms. Unlike "storm chasers" who leave town after a big event, we are a permanent part of the community, providing long-term warranties and reliable support for years to come.
