Great price · $10,000–12,000 I just had new gutters and fascia placed on my house and a new roof from the decking up placed on my stand alone garage. My gutters were old, too small and leaky. My garage roof was leaking heavily and large ares of the roof were rotted. The guys with The Way went above and beyond to schedule visits for estimates, etc around my unpredictable work schedule. They were informative and answered all of my questions up front. I never felt like I was talking to sales people, I was never pressured, they never tried to oversell things I didn’t need. They were down to earth, patient and fair. When the time came to do the work I was in the middle of changing jobs and my life and schedule was chaos. Quentin and Kyle went above and beyond to get the work done during the hours that worked for me during this time. One big concern I had was my dog being here and being afraid or getting hurt. Kyle even came once after dark to roll my yard to make sure all debris was collected so that my dog did not get anything that might be a danger to her. It sounds crazy to say my new gutters were simply stunning but I was shocked at how much better they made my house look. I was incredibly impressed. The week after the work was done we had days of strong and heavy rains. My yard was flooded. To my delight...all of the spots in my basement that had leaked before the new gutters were now bone dry. I was finally able to park without worry in my garage. Also my enclosed sun porch no longer took on even a drop of rain water in the corners that leaked prior to the new gutters. I can’t speak highly enough about the craftsmanship and the unbeatable customer service. They also offer some excellent financing options if needed. I highly recommend The Way and will 100% use them again.

Reasonable price · $14,000–16,000 It’s extremely hard to find a roofing/construction company that is trustworthy these days, we all know this. When we called around for a roofing quote from 4 different companies four years ago, one never returned our call, one never showed up for the appointment, two did show up. One of those was Austin Rogers with The Way Construction. We were very impressed with how professional Austin was and how he did not speak to us like he was trying to sell us something. He spoke to us like he was really trying to get us all the information we needed to make the best decision that worked for us. He never once came off pushy. He told us about the different roofing materials and colors and their in house financing options and that is the route we went. Many companies will tell you their work comes with a warranty, and many companies will be very hard to get ahold of or pay attention to you went it comes to needing a warranty honored. Not The Way, I had two occasions over that last 4 years where I have needed a small repair due to weather causing limbs to fall. Both times Austin got right back to me and scheduled a time to come out within a very reasonable time frame. He made the repairs and sent me photos of his work all completely free and covered by the warranty with nothing out of my pocket. I had a make shift tarp, boards and bricks up there to cover a small hole until he could make it out the very next week and I just expected him to throw them to the ground (which would have been fine) but Austin went the extra mile and stacked all the materials neatly behind our shed. 100% something he was not obligated to do. I can not recommend The Way construction enough. 200% would hire again without hesitation. Once you find a company you can trust and proves it, you will never use another company. Austin Rogers and The Way Construction is that company. We did a new roof and all new gutters and downspouts by the way.

I cannot say enough good things about this company! From start to finish—the time they devoted (HUGE shout out to Thomas-so professional, friendly, and goes the extra mile!) expertise, effort, communication and professionalism was seriously remarkable. Jonathan was also amazing—sending me several photos and updates of the progress of my roof throughout the day. I have been putting the word out about how The Way Construction operates, because proficient work and excellent customer service is actually hard to come by these days! It was so refreshing! 💗 The entire interaction was great. Choose this company! You will not be disappointed!

Suspect Damage to Your Roof?
Here is Some Helpful Information You Need to Know

HOW TO SPOT HAIL DAMAGE

The Evansville Homeowner's Guide to Hail Damage

Before climbing a ladder, look at eye level. If hail was strong enough to damage your roof, it left "calling cards" elsewhere. Check your gutters and downspouts for small dings, look for "splatter marks" on your fence, and check for dents in your window screens or AC unit fins. In the Evansville area, these are the first signs insurance adjusters look for to verify a storm event.

Hail doesn’t always leave a hole; often, it creates a "bruise." These are dark spots where the protective granules have been knocked off, exposing the black asphalt underneath. Over time, Evansville’s intense summer UV rays will bake these exposed spots, causing the shingle to crack and leak.

After a storm, check the ends of your downspouts. If you see piles of what looks like coarse sand or coffee grounds, your shingles have lost their primary line of defense. This accelerated shedding significantly shortens the lifespan of your roof.

Soft metals like box vents, chimney flashing, and ridge caps show hail impact much more clearly than asphalt. If these components look like they’ve been hit with a ball-peen hammer, there is a high statistical probability that your shingles sustained damage as well.

Insurance claims in Indiana are tied to specific weather events. Use a local weather app or news report to verify when the hail hit Evansville or Newburgh. Having the exact date helps your contractor and adjuster correlate your damage with National Weather Service data.

The most dangerous hail damage is the kind that hasn't started leaking yet. We’ve seen it time and again in Evansville—by the time you notice a ceiling stain, you might already be past your insurance filing deadline. At The Way Construction, we provide comprehensive "roof health" audits to catch these hidden issues early. Our team will determine if a full replacement is necessary or if targeted, professional repairs can successfully extend the life of your home.

HAIL DAMAGE COST GUIDE

How Much Does it Cost to Repair a Hail Damaged Roof?

ROOFING INSTALLATION MADE SIMPLE

Our 5 Step Process

1. Full Inspection

We begin with a deep dive into your roof’s current condition. In the Evansville area, we specifically look for common local issues like wind damage from seasonal storms or granular loss caused by intense UV exposure. This step ensures we understand the full scope of your home's needs before a single shingle is pulled.

2. Clear Recommendations

Transparency is the cornerstone of our service. We provide a detailed report on the state of your decking, flashing, and ventilation. We’ll explain the "why" behind our suggestions, helping you decide between a targeted repair or a full replacement that provides the best return on investment for your property.

3. Material Selection

Choosing the right material is vital for Indiana and Kentucky climates. We offer a range of high-performance shingles designed to withstand high winds and algae growth. Whether you are looking for classic architectural shingles to boost curb appeal in Newburgh or impact-resistant options for added durability, we help you pick the perfect match.

4. Professional Installation

Our team treats your home like their own. During the replacement, we utilize specialized equipment to protect your landscaping and driveway. We focus on precision—ensuring proper ice and water shielding and ventilation—so your new roof performs at its peak for decades, not just years.

A job isn't done until the site is spotless. We perform a meticulous sweep of your yard using magnetic tools to ensure no nails are left behind. Finally, we walk the perimeter with you to review the work, ensuring your new roof meets our high standards and your total satisfaction.

Roof Replacement FAQs

What Evansville Homeowners
Need to Know

  • How do I know if I need a roof repair or a full replacement?

Whether you need a roof repair or a complete roof replacement in Evansville depends on the age and extent of the damage. Generally, if your roof is over 20 years old and experiencing widespread issues like multiple leaks or missing shingles, a replacement is more cost-effective. For newer roofs with localized damage—such as a small leak or a few shingles lost to wind—a targeted repair is usually sufficient. We offer free inspections to help you determine the most durable and budget-friendly path forward.

  • What are the signs of hail or storm damage on a roof?

In the Tri-State area, storm damage isn't always obvious from the ground. Look for:

    • Dented or bruised shingles (hail impact).

    • Granule loss in your gutters or at the base of downspouts.

    • Missing, cracked, or curled shingles after high winds.

    • Dented flashing or water spots on your interior ceilings. If you suspect damage after a storm, it’s critical to get a professional storm damage inspection quickly to document evidence for insurance claims.

  • How much does a roof replacement cost in Evansville, IN?

The cost of a new roof in Evansville typically ranges from $6,500 to $11,000 for a standard-sized home using architectural asphalt shingles. Your final investment depends on the roof's square footage, the pitch (steepness), and the materials chosen. For a precise estimate tailored to your home’s specific needs, we provide transparent, no-obligation quotes.

  • Does my homeowner's insurance cover roof damage from storms?

Most standard policies in Indiana cover wind and hail damage. If your roof was damaged during a recent storm, your insurance may cover the full cost of a replacement (minus your deductible). Our team at The Way Construction specializes in navigating the insurance process, providing the detailed documentation and itemized estimates your adjuster needs to process your claim efficiently.

  • Are building permits required for re-roofing in Vanderburgh County?

Yes. Per the City of Evansville and Vanderburgh County regulations, a building permit is required for all re-roofing projects. As a licensed local contractor, we handle the entire permitting process for you, ensuring that your project meets all Indiana state safety and fire prevention codes and passes necessary inspections.

  • How long does a typical roof installation take?

Most residential roof replacements in Evansville can be completed in one to two days, depending on the weather and the complexity of the roof. We prioritize a clean job site and minimal disruption to your daily routine, ensuring all debris is hauled away and your property is left spotless.

  • Why should I hire a local Evansville roofing contractor?

Hiring The Way Construction ensures you are working with experts who understand the Southern Indiana climate—from humid summers to heavy spring storms. Unlike "storm chasers" who leave town after a big event, we are a permanent part of the community, providing long-term warranties and reliable support for years to come.
